My Fall Shopping Guide

As much as I love the summer, the Fall will always have a special place in my heart. The brisk air, the sense of “resetting”, and the warmth and coziness that comes with the season, are all things that I love.

When it comes to fashion, I have been doing a good job at purchasing core clothing pieces to help build a lasting wardrobe. But I do still need a refresh of new items to update my closet a bit with some basic pieces. Basics are essential to help you mix and match your wardrobe pieces and help with styling your clothes better. I wanted to share a few pieces that I have in my carts as Fall wardrobe must-haves, in hopes that it helps guide you in the right direction:

  • Trench coat

  • Loafer

  • Sneakers

  • Tees (neutral colors)

  • Tanks (neutral colors)

  • Oxford button-down shirt (white, black, blue)

  • Trousers (gray, beige, pinstripe)

  • Belts

  • Skinny scarves (trend I’m trying)

  • Leather Tote Bag

I’m typically in the office in casual attire, working from home in comfortable clothes, running errands in cute fits on weekends, with the occasional brunches, dinners, and events. So for me, these basics work but they may not for you. You have to think about your particular lifestyle when building your wardrobe. Your overall goal should be to have a nice range of pieces that you can restyle and wear in different ways for your daily life.

If you’re in the office, you may need more business attire. If you’re working from home, casual two-piece sets may work better for you. For example, I’m not buying tons of evening dresses because I don’t have tons of dinners out at restaurants every night. That’s just not my lifestyle. So it makes sense to incorporate these kinds of basics since they fit my personal style aesthetic, as well as my lifestyle.

Here are some fashion picks I’ll be going with:
